The clinic was started by Dr. Bethany Doran after she witnessed many patients with heart disease that did not receive good preventative care, causing needless hospital stays.
Dr. Doran began her medical training at Montefiore, a strong social medicine program in the Bronx, NY where she cared for many patients with poor access to healthcare. During medical school, she was awarded the David E. Rogers scholarship for her work developing an opt-out HIV treatment program in the inner city Bronx. After medical school, she trained at Bellevue-NYU hospital where she helped care for some of the neediest patients in New York. Her research work on opt-out fasting formed the basis of national and international recommendations. Dr. Doran finished her training at Duke cardiology where she developed a keen interest in treating heart failure patients, and her research in using machine learning to predict outcomes among patients was funded by the NIH and AHA. She was in private practice and cofounded a business and software consulting company prior to beginning Enabled Health.
She has been featured in articles including Fierce Healthcare, mHealthintelligence, parade.com, healthcareITtoday and other articles.
Our clinical services feature technology that allows us to expand access to high quality healthcare, and leverages local partners to deliver wrap around care for the patients we serve to keep them happy, healthy, and at home for longer.
For patients without a current primary care doctor, we can serve as a temporary ‘bridge’ to care, but we prefer to work in tandem with local doctors whenever possible to make sure you have the most complete care available.
